Irish Sinn Féin MEP Matt Carthy stood up for the rights of banned Catalan MEPs Puigdemont, Junqueras and Comín during the European Parliament’s constitutional session on Tuesday  in Strasbourg. Antonio Tajani tried to shut him up, but Carthy went on decidedly.

After another passionate speech in front of 10.000 Catalan demonstrators who rallied in front of the Parliament building, Matt Carthy answered the questions of VilaWeb:
