When Josep Borrell was interviewed in the program Conflict Zone of the German television Deutsche Welle, he left the stage outraged by the questions about the Catalan political prisoners that journalist Tim Sebastian was asking him. The image of the Foreign Minister of Spain shouting “stop, stop recording” was in all newspapers and news programs.
Months later, Sebastian has not forgotten about Borrell. In an interview with Andrea Schwab, coordinator of the CDU group in the European Parliament, the reporter asks about the Spanish minister being appointed as EU foreign policy chief despite the fact that he was fined for insider trading:
"Are your standards so low that a man who was fined 30,000 euros for insider trading is the best person that Europe can put forward for its top diplomat?"
