Catalan exiled minister and MEP Clara Ponsatí criticized Josep Borrell, head of the European diplomacy, in a speech at the European Parliament following the conflict between Azerbaijan (with the support of Turkey) and Armenia, which threatens the stability of the Caucasus.
“The European Commission must warn member states that are selling weapons to Turkey and are heating up this conflict. Spain is the member state that sells the most arms to Turkey. This must be stopped by the Commission, Mr Borrell ’, Ponsatí said.
Today in the debate on Armenia I condemned the attack by Azerbaijan and Turkey against the Armenian people and defended the right to self-determination of the Republic of Artsakh. Weapon exports from Spain to Turkey must immediately stop. @Arm_President @Pres_Artsakh @KRLS pic.twitter.com/VM8BXwYto4
