Catalonia is on a severe weather alert, with strong winds, heavy snow and rain expected at least until Wednesday. According to Civil Protection, Catalonia could see snow in areas below 200 meters, especially in the south of the country and the north-east. This could potentially affect the AP-7 highway that connects with France.
High sea waves are also expected in the coastal areas, with Barcelona’s council recommending citizens not to approach the beach. Strong winds could hit between 90 and 100 kilometers per hour.
